Installing Softwares in Open Suse..

The preferred method to installing wine, as well as other

packages in openSUSE, is to use the Software installation under YaST.

To do this,
1.start YaST (as root)
2.select Software Management
3.Here you have to point the repositories( collection of softwares )from which YaST fetch and install the software for you.
4.So here you have two choices.One is via internet and anotherone is via DVD.

5.I hope you have the open suse 11.0 DVD.So put it in your drive and add it as your repository(for doing this you can find options in the YaST menubar)
6.Then search for the desired package.( Eg.for wine type wine in the search box )
7.Then you can tick them and install them.
8.Then you can find it in the Suse Start menu.
